Note the wide lubrication groove between the high copper sabot and the distinct bottom bourrelet. Remnants of the lathe dog can be seen on the projectile's nose. A lathe dimple is found in the center of the copper base. This Selma pattern projectile in this caliber is extremely rare. Most Selma patterns similar to the above specimen have been recovered with the wooden fuze plug missing.
