Watertown Arsenal

The Watertown Arsenal in Massachusetts was a United States arsenal that manufactured and stored ammunition and ordnance stores, and later took up the manufacture of guns and carriages.

Ordnance on the Charles

The Watertown Arsenal, on the Charles River near Boston, was one of the United States arsenals that supplied the army with ammunition and ordnance stores. In the Civil War it contributed to the great flow of cartridges, projectiles, and equipments to the Federal forces.

After the war it developed into a manufacturing arsenal for guns, carriages, and ordnance materiel.
