This projectile bears
some resemblance to the Harding series, but may be intended for use in a smoothbore, it is
an armor puncher. The copper band in the approximate center of the body apparently
is designed to trap the gas flowing up over the tapered end and expand. If for
smooth bore use it is primarily a bearing surface.
