The Read pattern
pictured here is rare in this caliber and pounder size. Note the high copper sabot
and that the upper bourrelet is more distinct than the lower. Specimens have
only been recovered from middle Tennessee. This projectile was fired by Morton's
Battery of Forrest's Artillery.
