 2.5-inch Read Shell
Notice the six saw tooth rifling marks from the 2.5-inch Blakely rifle on the sabot.  Specimens have been recovered from Atlanta Campaign sites, and some have 2.5-inch Read Shellbeen found to have segmented interiors.  The 2.5-inch Britten projectile was also used in the 2.5-inch Blakely rifle.  Another Read example is shown below.
